Triangle Strategy Wiki

Anna Pascal is a playable character in Triangle Strategy. She is a member of the House Wolffort War Council.

Profile/Story[]

Background[]

Anna was born to the Jackes Clan, a village in House Wolffort territory. Her parents and clan were killed by House Wolffort, and Benedict Pascal then adopted her out of sympathy. Her true parentage was kept hidden for most of her life, out of fear that she would attempt to avenge her dead parents.

Despite not being related to Benedict, Anna and Benedict shared an unspoken yet close father and daughter bond. When Anna managed to stealthily rescue House Wolffort scouts from an enemy camp all on her own, Benedict recognized her prowess at espionage and had Archibald Genoe train her to be a spy. From that day forward, Anna served House Wolffort wholeheartedly.

House Wolffort Spy[]

Anna is a spy under the leadership of House Wolffort, and one of the holders of a token of conviction. She first joins the party in Chapter II: To Arms, Brave Warriors, and from then on assists Serenoa in affairs concerning House Wolffort's safety.

In her character events, Anna looks for the truth behind her biological parents. Even after discovering the truth behind the Jackes Clan and Benedict's involvement, Anna refuses to blame House Wolffort for her parents' deaths. She continues to help Benedict, her father, keep the Wolffort demesne safe from harm. She follows Serenoa Wolffort's convictions, just like the rest of the house.

Character Stories[]

First Mission[]

Anna recalls her first mission while speaking with Erador.

  • Erador: Lookin' worse for wear, Anna. Long scoutin' missions sure ain't easy.
  • Anna: Easy or not, I do what duty demands. Do you need something?
  • Erador: No. Just reckoned Benedict must be relieved you're back safe and sound.
  • Anna: Must he?
  • Erador: Course! After all...
  • Erador: He treats you like his own daughter. Don't know any parent what wouldn't worry over their child.
  • Erador: And he's got extra cause to fret, with all the dangerous work he gives you.
  • Anna: Oh? It never crossed my mind.
  • Anna: Benedict trusts me. That's all I've ever needed.
  • Erador: ...That so?
  • Anna: ...Do all parents by blood show concern for their children?
  • Erador: Wondering about yours, are you?
  • Anna: That's none of your concern.
  • Erador: I still remember how you insisted on bein' a scout, soon as you were old enough.
  • Erador: You wouldn't say why, but any fool could guess it was to find out more regardin' your parents. This work's well suited to that sort of thing.
  • Anna: Yet, Benedict refused me.
  • Erador: An' he was wise to do so. It ain't a job for an amateur.
  • Erador: Guess he hadn't anticipated you'd trained under Archibald.
  • Anna: I earned his respect when he saw what I could do. The means don't matter; only the results.
  • TITLE CARD: A few years ago...
  • Wolffort Soldier: I have grave news, ser. The enemy has captured one of our scouts.
  • Wolffort Soldier: I know our soldiers aren't broken easily, but given enough time in the enemy's hands...
  • Benedict: And here we are, severely shorthanded. I shall call a war council so our approach may be reconsidered.
  • Anna: ......
  • Anna: The scout has been rescued and returned safely home.
  • Benedict: Already!? That was far sooner than I anticipated.
  • Anna: I hope my actions were not out of line.
  • Benedict: No, no. Well done, Anna. I don't know where I'd be without you.
  • Anna: Nor I you.
  • Erador: Can't thank you enough for leapin' to my scout's rescue—while Benedict was still ponderin' what to do.
  • Erador: I'd pay good coin just to see that look on his face again!
  • Anna: ......
  • Erador: So. Think you'll find your parents? Not tryin' to dissuade you from lookin', mind. I'm only bein' nosy.
  • Anna: Dissuade? Is there something you've not told me?
  • Erador: What would I know that you don't? Just take care you don't end up regrettin' it.

True Parents[]

Anna searches for answers about her parents, and Erador seems to know more than he lets on...

  • Anna: I'm this close. I can feel it...
  • Anna: Under this tree...
  • Hyzantian Citizen: This here's the land of the Jackes clan. Or used to be, more like.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: That clasp on your chest—that's their sigil, if I'm not mistaken.
  • Anna: It's a memento from my parents...or so I was told.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: Aye...now that I'm looking for it, I can see the resemblance. Same silvery hair and everything.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: Villages near here met with a pretty terrible fate.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: They begged the armies to spare their fields...
  • Hyzantian Citizen: ...The only one who listened was one of House Wolffort's bannermen.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: No one was surprised...big war hero that he was. But by the time we got here, the Jackes had been all but exterminated.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: He was digging graves for the dead, enemy and all. A hero and a gentleman, he was...
  • Hyzantian Citizen: Name's on the tip of my tongue...
  • Anna: ...Benedict.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: Aye—that was it. Do you know the man? I'd like you to pass on my gratitude, if you do.
  • Anna: Thanks for showing me the way.
  • Hyzantian Citizen: Your coin's all the thanks I require. If that's all you'll be needing me for, I'll leave you to it.
  • Anna: You make a poor stalker.
  • Erador: Ain't exactly what I'm built for.
  • Anna: You fought in the battle here, didn't you?
  • Erador: Benedict swore me to secrecy, but suppose it ain't breakin' oath if you already know.
  • Erador: Oh, but first I oughta tell you...
  • Erador: You've the right to the truth. And those ain't my words—they're his.
  • Erador: That's why he never tried to stop you from findin' out about your parents.
  • Anna: You know of their fate?
  • Erador: We drove the enemy up the clifftop. Cornered 'em there.
  • Erador: The same instant we cut their leader down...a babe cried out in the distance.
  • Erador: In the hideout we found you all swaddled up, a letter pinned to you with that same clasp on your chest.
  • Anna: ......
  • Anna: Live strong, Anna. Stronger than any.
  • Anna: ...I see now.
  • Erador: Yer family died at our hands. If it's vengeance you want, you can take it out on me.
  • Anna: That doesn't sound like the Erador I know.
  • Anna: Do you think so little of me? To assume I would forsake my friend? Bloody my hands with revenge?
  • Anna: I know the truth at last. That is enough.
  • Erador: Is it, Anna? Or are you forcin' it to be?
  • Anna: Don't be a fool.
  • Anna: Benedict is the one who raised me. If I ever want for a father, I know where to find him.
  • Anna: When we've won this war...
  • Anna: ...I shall make sure he understands that.

Mid-Battle Conversations[]

near Rudolph[]

  • Rudolph: Ye've a dark past, too. I can tell. How'd ye come to be with this lot?
  • Anna: I am no criminal. Mind your tongue.

Chapter XVI: Sleep, My Friend[]

near Trish[]

  • Trish: Hehe, desperate soldiers sure do make for easy marks.
  • Anna: You're not a thief anymore. If you do anything to tarnish the Wolffort name—
  • Trish: Hey, what kind of second-rate goon do you take me for? I don't make mistakes. Ever.

Final Chapter: Dance of the Automaton[]

vs. Automaton[]

  • Anna: So this is the manner of creature that blocks Lord Serenoa and Benedict's path...
  • Automaton: Ahh... Ahh...
  • Anna: Whatever enemies I must face, I will fulfill my duty. You will not stop me for long!

Final Chapter: For Norzelia[]

vs. Idore[]

  • Anna: I'll kill you and end the war. Prepare to die.
  • Idore: Oh, you misguided little girl. It is I, and I alone, who has the power to end this. And when I do, I shall awaken House Wolffort from their delusion.
