Profile/Story[]
General of the Aesfrosti Army[]
Avlora is one of the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost's greatest combatants, and is renowned for her sublime swordmanship. She is first seen in Chapter II: To Arms, Brave Warriors, as a participant in the Norzelian tournament. She faces off against Maxwell Trier, Glenbrook's Dawnspear, and seemingly loses the match.
Avlora makes her next major appearance in Chapter VI: Remember Me, when she slays crown prince Frani Glenbrook under Archduke Gustadolph Aesfrost's orders during the Aesfrosti invasion of Glenbrook. After Regna Glenbrook and Cordelia Glenbrook are secured, she is tasked with retrieving Roland Glenbrook before he escapes with House Wolffort. While she is unable to apprehend Roland, she fights against Maxwell Trier on the very brige Roland and company escaped from. Though Maxwell beat her in the tournament, it was proven that she was holding back her true strength, hiding it form everyone until she pushed Maxwell back with relative ease. She strikes him down into the river, believing Glenbrook's finest warrior to be dead.
- If the War Council chooses to protect Roland
Avlora is sent to House Wolffort to capture Prince Roland by force, and is given a formidable military force to ensure the mission is a success. However, in a miracle Avlora never could have predicted, she is driven out by House Wolffort's hidden tactics and sheer military might. She returns to Gustadolph displeased, and apologizes for her failure. To redeem herself, she slays crown loyalist Landroi Falkes under Gustadolph's orders.
Days later, a dead body resembling Prince Roland Glenbrook is found by the Aesfrosti.
- If the War Council chooses to surrender Roland
After House Wolffort proves themselves by slaying Landroi Falkes, a military group led by Sorsley Ende marches onto Wolffort territory, looking to seize the battle-weary demesne.
- If the War Council chooses to fight alongside Avlora
Avlora and House Wolffort drive back Sorsley's forces, but are rewarded with a large, violet explosion. Saint Exharme Marcial detonated an Aelfric upon Wolffort territory, and claims House Wolffort's lands as his own. Declaring the Wolffort territory to be lost, Avlora runs away.
- If the War Council chooses to fight with Sorsley
Avlora is betrayed by Serenoa Wolffort, and is nearly bested by the combined might of House Ende and House Wolffort. Fortunately for her, Saint Exharme Marcial sets off an Aelfric upon Wolffort territory, allowing her to escape amidst the chaos.
Roland Glenbrook escapes his cell in Whiteholm Castle, but a dead body resembling him is later found by the Aesfrosti.
With the issue of securing Roland out of the way, Avlora was able to focus her efforts into helping Gustadolph maintain Glenbrook despite their strained relationship due to Avlora's defeat at the hands of House Wolffort or Exharme and threatened to relieve her of her position should she fail again. During this time, Avlora formed an unlikely friendship with Gustadolph's puppet queen, Cordelia Glenbrook. Despite starting off as weak, demure, and capitulant to Gustadolph's demands, Cordelia slowly grew into stronger, more assertive person. This growth piqued Avlora's interest, and in due time she grew to respect the young queen's determination. In Chapter XIII, Part I: Our Time Has Come, the day before House Wolffort moved to retake Glenbrook, Cordelia confided her plan to betray the archduke with the help of kingdom loyalists to Avlora. Avlora, moved by Cordelia's trust in her, offered to aid the queen once she ensured Gustadolph's final demands were met.
Gustadolph leaves for Aesfrost, and assigns Avlora under Thalas Aesfrost and Erika Aesfrost's command. House Wolffort and the Holy State of Hyzante use this opportunity to attack Whiteholm Castle, in an attempt to liberate Glenbrook from Aesfrost.
- If the War Council voted to flood the capital
House Wolffort floods Glenbrook, washing away most of the Aesfrosti forces. Avlora is unceremoniously lost to this flood.
- If the War Council voted to sneak into the castle
House Wolffort sneaks into Whiteholm Castle, avoiding most Aesfrosti forces. Avlora, believing House Wolffort would manipulate Cordelia Glenbrook just as Gustadolph did, takes one final stand against them, before being bested in battle. Roland Glenbrook reveals his survival to Avlora, and challenges her to duel on the very spot where she killed Maxwell Trier. Although she loses, she escapes into the Norzelian river.
- If the War Council voted to negotiate on the bridge
While House Wolffort combats Thalas Aesfrost and Erika Aesfrost on the Whiteholm Castle Bridge, Avlora attempts to bring Cordelia to the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost via ship. Beliving House Wolffort would manipulate Cordelia just as Gustadolph did, Avlora takes one finally stand against them before ultimately being felled. Just as Roland prepares to strike the killing blow against Avlora, Cordelia shields her, begging Roland to stop his violence. Avlora then escapes into the river, grateful for her queen's sacrifice.

Character Stories[]
For the People[]
Hughette asks Avlora why she has joined their forces...
- Avlora: ......
- Hughette: Our soldiers' morale will plummet if you keep looking so surly.
- Hughette: I hear even training couldn't stop your thoughts from wandering elsewhere.
- Avlora: My apologies. My mind is filled with nothing but worry over Princess Cordelia.
- Hughette: All the brooding in the world won't make her recover faster.
- Hughette: But tell me...
- Hughette: What cause have you to be so concerned for Her Majesty?
- Avlora: She and I...are not so different.
- Hughette: What do you mean?
- Avlora: After I was orphaned in the war, Lord Svarog took me in. I clawed my way up the hierarchy and rose to my current position.
- Avlora: There were times when life looked so bleak I thought I would die. But every time I reached my limits, I pushed right through them.
- Avlora: Then this war broke out, and as things happened, I came to meet Her Majesty.
- Avlora: Seeing her unwavering strength in the face of losing her family, her kingdom... I couldn't help but be reminded of who I once was...
- TITLE CARD: On the eve of Whiteholm Castle's recapture...
- Avlora: I am not made to rule. But Princess Cordelia is.
- Avlora: Staring my death in the face, the only thought I had was that I must return to her side.
- Avlora: That I had to survive, for her sake. That single-minded determination is the only reason I made it here.
- Hughette: Be that as it may...
- Hughette: You tried to destroy Glenbrook. I can never forgive you for that.
- Hughette: I don't care if Lord Serenoa pardoned you. You killed my friends...my companions...
- Avlora: We were at war...and you were the enemy. It is simply the way of things.
- Hughette: Is that what you tell yourself?
- Avlora: Then what would you have me do!?
- Child (F): Y-you... You're the Aesfrosti general... W-what are you doing here!? No! Don't kill me!
- Dog: Grrrrrr... Ruff!
- Avlora: Ugh...
- Hughette: See? The people are the same. They feel nothing but hate and terror when they look at you.
- Avlora: I do not expect forgiveness for what I have done. But I would do what I can to atone.
- Hughette: If you're serious about helping Princess Cordelia change things for the better...
- Hughette: Then don't look to me for answers. Look to that child. To the people...
- Avlora: Ask the people, you say?
For a Peaceful World[]
Avlora finally finds the answer to how she might atone for her crimes against Glenbrook.
- Avlora: This place is in shambles. It will not be easy passing through here each time...
- Hughette: Neither is it easy for me to look upon the face of the woman who killed my friends.
- Avlora: ......
- Child (F): C'mon! We've got treasure to hunt!
- Dog: Ruff!
- Dog: Huff-huff! Huff-huff!
- Child (F): (SHARP) Ahhh!
- Child (F): Owww... Someone...help me!
- Dog: (SHARP) Ruff-ruff!
- Dog: (SHARP) Ruff-ruff!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: What's all this?
- Glenbrook Subject (M) B: Look!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: Damn, it's no good! I can't lift it!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) B: We have to hurry or she'll be crushed!
- Child (F): Waaah...
- Avlora: (SHARP) Out of the way! I'll handle this!
- Avlora: Hnnngh!
- Avlora: Are you all right?
- Child (F): Mhm! Thanks for saving me!
- Child (F): W-wait, you're...
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: You... You're the one who killed Prince Frani!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) B: What, you serve House Wolffort now!?
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: (SHARP) You...you make me sick!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: (SHARP) You ruined our lives! You took everything from us!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) C: (SHARP) Get out of my sight before I make you regret the day you were born.
- Glenbrook Subject (M) B: (SHARP) Y-yeah! We don't want you here!
- Avlora: I know I was the enemy of Glenbrook. I know no words will undo the horrors I've done here.
- Avlora: And so...all I can offer is my actions.
- Hughette: Avlora...
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: I don't want to hear it!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: (SHARP) I don't care how sorry you are or how much you grovel! It won't bring back the people you killed!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: No! Stay back!
- Child (F): (SHARP) Leave her alone!
- Child (F): I'm sorry I ran away before... But, um, here. For saving me.
- Avlora: ...It's beautiful. Thank you.
- Child (F): You're welcome!
- Dog: Ruff!
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: We aren't like you. We don't want blood for blood.
- Avlora: Nor do I...not anymore. And so I would spend my life atoning.
- Avlora: ...And fighting to build a peaceful future for children like her.
- Glenbrook Subject (M) A: You want them to have a future? You can start by helping to end this bloody war.
- Hughette: It would seem the people have spoken.
- Hughette: Nothing you do will erase the horrors you've committed in the past.
- Hughette: But seeing you today... I do believe you mean better for the future.
- Avlora: I do. This I swear on the name of Princess Cordelia and the royal family of Glenbrook.
- Avlora: I vow that I shall protect this kingdom's people with my life...
