Story[]

Upon returning from their travels, Serenoa and Frederica begin preparing for their wedding. Little do they know it is the calm before the storm. While visiting the Grand Norzelian Mines with Roland, they witness Dragan being murdered by an Aesfrosti soldier. But they haven't a moment to mourn him as soon as they receive word that the duchy has invaded the crown city.

Battle[]

Serenoa Wolffort and Roland Glenbrook are visiting to oversee the Grand Norzelian Mines when they and Dragan Aesfrost are ambushed by disguised Aesfrosti soldiers.

Terrain and strategy[]

In this battle, with the large number of enemies, it may be best to have most of the party wait at the starting position and let enemy units come into range to be attacked. It doesn't hurt to send a couple units to deal with the isolated blade and shieldbearer at the bottom of the high cliff. Waiting is viable because Dragan seems to retreat to this starting area whether or not the party is still there, so it isn't necessary to move up right away to protect him. Avoid splitting the party into more than two groups at the start, though as enemies come in from the side, splitting up further to deal with them is likely safe enough.
