Aesfrost announces news of Roland's death and strengthens its hold on the kingdom by making Cordelia their puppet. Roland dons his late master's mask, hiding his identity, and swears revenge upon the duchy. Sorsley Ende sends House Wolffort provisions, but asks they ferry his black market salt in return.
