Battle[]
During Aesfrost's attack on the city, Serenoa Wolffort his party group up in the Whiteholm Castle Gardens, where Aesfrost soldiers stumble upon them. Prince Roland Glenbrook must break through to win this battle.
Terrain and strategy[]
Early in the battle, four Aesfrosti Blades will arrive as reinforcements, coming from the far sides around the exit ahead. Later on, as the party nears the bowman up front, two more blades and a healer will be summoned in front of the exit. In the final stretch, two groups will arrive on either side each consisting of two bowmen and a shieldbearer.
Despite the large number of total enemies, it is quite viable, at least at the recommended level, to win by defeating all foes, but it is only necessary to get Roland to the exit tiles at the edge of the map ahead. It's necessary to start out by breaking barricades to clear a path forward; they are targetable and give XP when attacked just like enemies. The route up is more roundabout that it may appear, as upon getting past the larger courtyard like area, most units need to use the stairs going left or right rather than just being able to go straight ahead.
Whether choosing to defeat all enemies or just getting Roland through, it's best to act fast enough to keep reinforcements from grouping up with enemies already on the map. They should remain manageable in their small groups.
