The Deathsknell is a weapon designed by Dragan Aesfrost, and later finished by his father, Svarog Aesfrost. The Deathsknell has explosive power the likes of which Norzelia has never seen, and even possesses the power to breach the once indestructable Goddess's Shield.

In all endings, the Deathsknell ends up being a crucial weapon to either Svarog, the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost as a whole, or both. In the Morality ending, Svarog turns the Deathsnknell against Gustadolph Aesfrost in a plot to avenge Dragan's death, even though it's implied Benedict Pascal was going to foil this plot. In the Utility ending, Svarog uses the Deathsknell to destroy Ironstone to ensure it won't be Aesfrost that Hyzante conquers, but a snowy wasteland. In the Liberty and Conviction endings, the Deathsknell serves its intended purpose of destroying the Goddess' Shield, becoming the key to the Holy State of Hyzante's fall in the former and quickening the fall of the Holy State started by the Roselle rebellion ignited by Frederica Aesfrost.
